Morrigan Farran

Morrigan Farran The spirit of conflict and war, Morrigan Farran rides the shadows between worlds. As one of the Tuatha Dé Danann, a race of gods and goddesses in Irish mythology, she possesses mysterious powers over battle, fate and the souls of the slain.

Morrigan takes forms as a crow, wolf or fierce warrior riding her massive black-purple stallion into the mist-shrouded otherworld. There she sows chaos and unrest among mortals to influence events and tilt the scales of conflict in unseen ways.

Though a harbinger of death, Morrigan’s intentions are not wholly malicious. She aims to keep the human realms on a knife’s edge where her people, the Tuatha Dé, can thrive unseen. Some see her as a guardian against threats to Celtic lands and sovereignty.

Yet Morrigan’s nature invites friction with more pacifist members of her pantheon like Brigid, goddess of healing. Where Brigid wants peace, Morrigan understands that conflict is integral to the natural cycle of civilization.

As unseen forces seek to upset the balance with invasions from across ancient seas and skies, Morrigan’s duties may bring her into open conflict with strangers and allies alike. Her glorious red hair whipping, Morrigan will do what is needed to defend her people and ensure the fatefulWheel of War keeps turning.

Her Imperial Majesty Mary G. Blackwell the III, Queen of Crimswood.
